Fully enclosed cabinet with fume filtration
The BODOR model i7 is fully enclosed with a safety glass inspection window to protect against laser radiation and minimise fumes escaping. A dust extraction unit pumps air out of the cabinet space and passes it through a fume filter to minimise workshop air pollution.
Welded Bed
The bed is constructed from carbon structural steel. The frame is heat treated to eliminate the stress from the welding process before being accurately CNC machined.
The care in construction means the bed is durable and will maintain accuracy over a long life time.
Front material load/unload drawer
The front drawer glides open on bearing tracks to make loading and unloading a breeze. Rotary cylinder locking devices ensure accurate table repositioning, saving the operator from re-orientating the new plate on a production job
Aluminium Bridge
The bridge is one piece cast aluminium. Significantly lighter than a steel construction and the BODOR design, with strategically placed ribs in the profile, no structural strength difference than a steel one.
Servo Motor
BODOR uses high quality Japanese Yaskawa brand servo motors for the X, Z & Z drive system.

Auto Focus Capacitance Cutting Head
BODOR auto focusing head is integrated into the control system. When the operator selects different material types and thickness the focal length is automatically adjusted for the best cutting results. No manual intervention required.
The control system also monitors the capacitance between the nozzle and the workpiece. The controller keep the capacitance value the same therefore the head automatically traces the minor contour differences in the workpiece.
The BODOR head has a built-in double water cooling structure. Maintaining a constant temperature avoids the lenses overheating and extends their service life.
Controller
The BODOR control system supports the import of part geometry from CAD system. Once part geometry is read into the controller it optimises cutting order automatically. The controller includes simple sheet search functions to automatically align the work plane. It is a simple to use graphical interface.
